Yay! So awesome. I started getting a little worried when you said, "That's all you need to know..." because being the non-sewer that I am, I thought, "I don't know beans about sewing in a liner!" Then popping down the blog I saw the extra links. :) You rock.

I had so much fun making this, Alice. I changed mine a little by shortening it, making a bottom and one long strap to resemble the Starling bag. Hope you don't mind! The end product turned out super cute! Thank you!

Tada! 3 days after starting, I have a completed bag! I made straps, but my bag was feeling rather heavy, so I did something crazy: I used a canvas shopping bag (I think I paid less than a dollar for it) and I sewed it inside my hex tote as the lining. Instant shape and instant straps!. I attached the straps I made, but I did not like how they looked, so I removed them and embroidered a pattern with my yarn. I hope you like it, because I love it! Thank you so much for the experience!

You are so awesome!! I've really enjoyed watching the tutorials for this bag, and in just a couple of weeks I'll be able to finally buy yarn and start my own :) Kinda bummed that the "crochet-a-long" is over now though ... any plans for another one?

I have yarn that I bought for potholders that I don't think I'm going to make, which I think means I'm going to use them on this bag. I just need to finish any other project first. My project list is completely ridiculous!

I finished the plastic yarn bag. here it is http://www.naama-ym.com/blog/hex-plasic-bag/ i made it from plastic bags, with the great help of your tutorials.
I printed the assembly chart from episode 2, and with crayons i used it to plan the main colors of the bag.
thanks again!

I'm so excited to have stumbled across this sew a long! I have been looking for a crochet bag pattern to use to crochet my first bag. This looks perfect! I've never crocheted a hex motif before and I'm excited to do that as well. Tomorrow I'm off to buy some yarn for this bag. Can't wait. Thanks so much for all the work you put into this!

So... I knotted my yarn ends, but does that really mean I don't have to weave in the ends?? Don't they creep out or show through the holes? Did you cut them short, or what? I feel like the crochet police might come to my house and slap my hands if I don't work them in. lol

Babs ... I think I talk about how I weave in the ends ... I sort of weave them into the center sloppily to secure them. Since I use a fabric liner for the tote, all the sloppiness is hidden.
